What is Pain ?

Cambridge Dictionary PAIN: highly unpleasant physical sensation caused by illness or injury.

Meyer’s (the fascia guru’s) definition: Pain is a sensation accompanied by the motor intention to withdraw.

…so if you are not trying to get away from it …it’s not technically pain but sensation.

80% of all pain stem from

1. underuse of muscles and joints

2. isolated overuse of specific muscles and joints

3. postural strain on the skeletal system.

 

What is Pain Therapy?

Good pain vs bad pain for healing:

 

All physical pain is inflammatory in nature, interlinked with false recruitment of muscles, sticky fascia and misfiring electrical circuits. We work at the good side of a stretch or pressure, where you are still happy to stay and breathe with ease and can feel a sensation of expansion which hydrates fascia.
