The aim of AJL Consultancy
The main intention of any Sports Psychologist is to help improve their client’s performance on the pitch. Just as a strength & conditioning or fitness coach would aim to improve your physical attributes, my role is to improve your mental attributes, to help you consistently perform at your best. Firstly, we will complete what is called a needs analysis- working together to understand your strengths, weaknesses, ambitions and goals for your career. From there, we can start to work on a model that is targeted specifically to yourneeds. I have graduated from one of the most respected Master's programmes in the country, working alongside staff who have been involved at the top of the professional game. From this, I have developed extensive knowledge of a wide range of successful mental skills techniques, and am sure we will see some positive results with the trust and application from yourself.
How do I work?
I work on a subscription basis and would be your personal on-call Sports Psychology practitioner. I have developed a flexible pricing structure based on:
(a) The knowledge and expertise that I bring as a newly qualified MSc Sports Psychology practitioner;
(b) The personal and confidential service I offer completely independent from your club;
(c) My history in, and understanding of elite sport, allowing me to appreciate the pressures both on and off the pitch;
(d) My added specialism and passion for understanding and addressing mental health, and the benefits this can bring.
What does AJL Consultancy provide?
My commitment to you
All I require in return is your 100% trust and commitment in the strategies I develop. I will be testing you mentally in such a way a coach may test you physically. I firmly believe it is just as important to train the mind as it is your body, and I would look for this commitment from my clients to give them the best chance for improvement.
